SABR’s Asian Baseball Committee will host a virtual Zoom meeting at 8:00 p.m. EDT on Monday, June 22, 2026. All baseball fans are welcome to attend.

Our guest is Jee-ho Yoo, a well-known sportswriter in Korea and the only credentialed English writer for the Korea Baseball Organization. 

Jee-ho Yoo is a sports writer for Yonhap News Agency based in Seoul, South Korea. A graduate of the University of Toronto, Jeeho is the only English-language writer credentialed to cover the Korea Baseball Organization. He has traveled all over the world to report on six Summer and Winter Olympic Games, six Summer and Winter Asian Games, four World Baseball Classics and two FIFA World Cups. In 2020, Jeeho was a frequent on-air guest for ESPN’s telecasts of KBO games, giving viewers in the United States and around the world a closer look at how the South Korean league was able to pull off a full season during the COVID-19 pandemic. Jeeho was born in Seoul and lived in Toronto from 1995 to 2002, during which time he, unfortunately, became a fan of all Toronto sports teams. Jeeho still hasn’t recovered from the Blue Jays’ loss in Game 7 of the 2025 World Series.
